The ASTM A106 Gr B Sch 40 comes with good corrosion resistance and strength properties. The minimum tensile strength of the pipes is 48ksi and the minimum yield strength is 30ksi. These pipes can be welded with most conventional methods. Since the temperature capacity is high, no preheating or post weld heat treatment is required for these pipes for welding. The ASTM A106 Grade B Pipe ranges in diameter from ¼ inches through 30 inches in diameter with schedules ranging from sch20 through XXH. The wall thickness of the A106 Pipe can range from 2 inches to 4 inches in different diameters of the pipes.
