The fin set process is to pre-process a batch of individual fins with a press and then set the fins on the outer surface of the tube by manual or mechanical means at a certain pitch (fin distance) and by interference.
It is one of the earliest applied methods for processing finned tubes. Since the set process is simple, the technical requirements are not high, the equipment used is inexpensive and easy to maintain, therefore, there are still many factories using it. This process is a labor-intensive process solution, suitable for the capital and technical conditions of general small factories or township enterprises.
