The ASTM A500 Grade C Pipe has 427MPa minimum tensile strength with 317MPa minimum yield strength. The composition includes carbon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus and copper when specified. The chemical combination is the reason for the ASTM A500 Tube strength and corrosion resistance. The pipes can also be welded with most welding methods but caution has to be taken to preheat the pipes before welding through high temperature procedures such as electric arc welding to avoid welding cracks. Post weld heat treatment is also necessary after high temperature welding. Please feel free to contact us for more information on the ASTM A500 Carbon Steel Pipe and the pricing.
