ASTM A387 Grade 12 is a specification for pressure vessel plates, alloy steel, chromium-molybdenum. This grade of steel is designed for use in welded boilers and pressure vessels, which are designed for elevated temperature service. Class 1 plates are available in the normalized and tempered condition, while Class 2 plates are available in the quenched and tempered condition.
