Applications of Weathering Structural Corten Steel
1. Outdoor Sculptures
Weathering steel is popularly used in outdoor sculptures for its rustic antique appearance. Notable examples include the large Chicago Picasso sculpture in the Daley Center Courthouse plaza, works by Richard Serra, the "Alamo" sculpture in Manhattan, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, The Angel of the North in Gateshead, and Broadcasting Tower at Leeds Beckett University.

2. Architectural Applications
The first architectural use of weathering steel was the John Deere World Headquarters in Moline, Illinois, designed by architect Eero Saarinen and completed in 1964. Other significant examples include the main buildings of Odense University in Denmark, known as Rustenborg ("rusty fortress").
