GR2 titanium tubing has excellent corrosion resistance, demonstrating good corrosion resistance from highly oxidizing environments to mildly chlorinated environments1.
The tubing also maintains good performance at elevated temperatures. For example, it can operate continuously at 800°F (~427°C) and even intermittently at 1000°F (~538°C).
GR2 titanium tubing cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but its inherent strength and corrosion resistance are already quite good.
