Cold Rolled Steel Coil Production Process

Since there is no heating during production, cold-rolled steel avoids defects such as pits and scales that often occur in hot rolling. This results in superior surface quality and high finish. Cold-rolled products offer precise dimensional accuracy and can meet specialized requirements including electromagnetic properties and deep drawing performance.

Cold Rolling Process

Using hot-rolled steel coils as raw material, the process involves pickling to remove scale followed by cold rolling to produce hard rolled coils. The cold deformation increases strength and hardness while reducing plasticity, making these coils suitable only for parts with simple deformation. Hard-rolled coils serve as raw material for hot-dip galvanizing plants equipped with annealing lines.

Standard coil weight ranges from 6-13.5 tons with an inner diameter of 610mm.
