Welded Bar Grating

Also known as metal open bar grating, welded bar grating is available in both smooth and serrated surface types. While smooth (plain) steel bar grating remains more popular for general applications, serrated grating provides superior skid resistance for enhanced safety.

Fabricated from low carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, this grating type is created by bonding slotted bars under hydraulic pressure. The result is a strong, durable solution ideal for industrial and commercial applications such as stair treads, platforms, walkways, and covers.

Swage Locked Grating

Primarily manufactured from aluminum or stainless steel bars, swage locked grating is formed by inserting cross bars into pre-punched bearing bars and locking them under hydraulic pressure. This configuration is available in three bearing bar types: rectangular, T-bar, and I-bar, with I-bar options offering lighter weight and cost-effective solutions.
