Serrated steel grating is the most popular grating type due to its exceptional strength, cost-efficient production, and easy installation. This versatile product combines high strength with lightweight construction while offering non-slip characteristics and rolled-on serrations that meet strict health and safety requirements. The hot-rolled serrations help prevent lacerations in case of falls.
Optional serrated bearing bars provide enhanced skid resistance, making this surface ideal for applications involving liquid accumulation, lubricants, or inclined installations. While plain surface grating offers excellent self-cleaning properties for most applications, the serrated option should be specified when fluids or materials could create slippery conditions. Note that serrated grating requires bearing bars 1/4" deeper to maintain equivalent strength to non-serrated versions.
