Cold Rolled ASTM1008 SPCD DC01-DC07 Carbon Steel Coil

Carbon steel coil is manufactured through hot rolling or cold rolling processes and is widely utilized in construction, machinery manufacturing, automotive, and various industrial applications.

Material Composition & Properties

Carbon steel coils are produced from steel with carbon content ranging from 0.0218% to 2.11%, typically containing small amounts of silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus. Performance characteristics vary with carbon content:

Low Carbon Steel (C≤0.25%): Excellent plasticity, ideal for cold forming and fabrication processes
Medium Carbon Steel (0.25%<C≤0.6%): Balanced strength properties, commonly used for mechanical components
High Carbon Steel (C>0.6%): Superior hardness and wear resistance, suitable for tools, springs, and cutting implements

Manufacturing Processes

Hot-Rolled Carbon Steel Coil: Rolled at elevated temperatures, features mill scale surface, typically available in larger thicknesses, suitable for structural applications where surface finish is not critical.

Cold-Rolled Carbon Steel Coil: Processed from hot-rolled coil at room temperature, delivers smooth surface finish and precise dimensional tolerances with thicknesses as thin as 0.18mm, widely used in precision manufacturing applications.
