Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coil S550GD Z275G/M2
Galvanized coil is a premium metal material featuring a protective zinc layer bonded to steel substrate through continuous galvanizing processes. Available in two primary variants: standard galvanized steel plate and alloyed galvanized steel plate, these materials combine the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of zinc.
Manufacturing Process
The production involves immersing rolled steel plate in molten zinc baths. For alloyed variants, post-immersion heating to 500℃ creates a zinc-iron alloy layer, enhancing coating adhesion and weldability characteristics.
Surface Treatment & Protection
Passivation treatment can be applied to reduce white rust formation during humid storage and transportation. While this chemical treatment offers limited corrosion protection and may affect coating adhesion, it's standard for most galvanized coatings except zinc-iron alloy surfaces with smooth finishes.
