S355J2WP steel plate is a European standard atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel, which belongs to weathering steel plate. It is a low-alloy steel made by adding a certain amount of alloying elements to ordinary steel. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of weathering steel is 2-8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and it has good mechanical properties, welding properties, etc., and the longer the time, the more obvious the corrosion resistance effect.

S—symbol S (for structural steel);

5. Characteristics of S355J2WP weathering steel
S355J2WP weathering steel has a protective rust layer and is resistant to atmospheric corrosion, and can be used to manufacture low-alloy structural steel for steel structures such as vehicles, bridges, towers, and containers. Compared with ordinary carbon steel, weathering steel has better corrosion resistance in the atmosphere. Compared with stainless steel, weathering steel has only a small amount of alloying elements, such as phosphorus, copper, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, niobium, vanadium, titanium, etc., the total amount of alloying elements is only a few percent, unlike stainless steel, which reaches 100%. Tens of tenths, so the price is relatively low.
