SCr415 is a JIS standard low alloy steel
SCr415/SCr21 has moderate yield strength and tensile strength and performs well in some light to medium load applications. SCr415 has good toughness and impact resistance, allowing it to maintain reliability in applications subject to shock and vibration. SCr415 has certain wear resistance and is suitable for components and working conditions that require resistance to wear and friction. SCr415 has good weldability and is suitable for conventional welding methods.
SCr415 uses:
Mechanical parts manufacturing: SCr415 is often used to manufacture mechanical parts, such as bearings, gears, cams, connecting rods, etc., and is suitable for medium load and impact working conditions.
Engineering structures: SCr415 is used for some lighter-load engineering structures, such as components and connectors in bridges, buildings and other projects.
SCr415 heat treatment: methods include normalizing and tempering.
Normalizing: The SCr415 is heated to the appropriate temperature (usually between 850°C and 900°C), held for a period of time, and then cooled in air. Normalizing increases the hardness and strength of steel.
Tempering: The normalized SCr415 is heated to an appropriate temperature (usually between 150°C and 200°C), maintained for a period of time and then cooled at an appropriate rate. Tempering can reduce the internal stress of steel and improve its toughness and impact resistance.
